Biography

Biography for Varsity Head Coach Jim Davala

Coach Jim Davala has been coaching baseball for over 28 years in the Nashua/Merrimack area. Of those many seasons, 14 have been under longtime Nashua High Coach Charles Mellon. In parallel, Coach Davala also coached for 10 seasons at the American Legion Coffey Post 3.

During his 9 years in Merrimack, Coach D. has spent several years as an assistant coach to then Head Coach, Ryan Anderson, which includes Merrimack’s successful 2007 Class L Championship. Additionally during this time, Coach D. was the Director of Operations for the minor league New Hampshire FisherCats and was instrumental in the opening of their new stadium.

Coach Davala teaches with enormous passion and love for the sport of baseball through strong fundamentals, skills, and drills. He believes many life skills are learned by teaching the 3-D’s; DEDICATION, DISCIPLNE and DESIRE.
